Australian wine tasting

20/05/2017

Our Australian wine tasting evening at our Fine Wines Direct UK wine warehouse was enjoyed by all.

Six wines were tasted on the evening, two whites and four reds.

We had a light and fruity Semillon from Tyrrells winery in the Hunter Valley which was a favourite of the whites. and a Riesling from the Eden valley.

The four reds included a pinot noir from Tasmania, a Shiraz and a Grenache Shiraz from Barossa and Cabernet Sauvignon from Coonawarra. There was s split over the favourite red on the night, half going for the light and fruity Pinot Noir, which was described as good as any burgundy pinot's they have tasted. The other half went for the fuller bodied Shiraz from Barossa, describing it as very smooth and full of fruit.

Here are the links to the wines.
