Very aromatic with fruity nuances of peach and custard apple as well as some mineral notes. Powerful on the palate, with well-balanced acidity and a long finish. If you have never had Albarino I highly recommend you try this one...a perfect example of this popular grape variety.

Description

Many of the finest white wines in Spain are produced in the Rias Baixas appellation just to the north of Portugal. The signature grape of the region is Albariño, a native Galacian grape that was pioneered and championed by Santiago Ruiz, a visionary, known as The Grandfather of Albariño. His family have been producing wines in the region since 1860 and the winery is now run by his daughter Rosa.

Albariño has become very trendy recently and this exceptional wine from Santiago Ruiz is one of of the best. It was served at the King of Spains daughters wedding, and you'll certainly enjoy serving to your friends and family.

The striking label is a map that his daughter gave to friends and family for directions to her wedding. When Santiago saw it, he know it was the label for this wine. All the grapes come from the 38 hectars vineyard located in O Rosal area, you'll find: Albariño (70%), Loureiro (15%), Caiño white (10%), Treixadura and Godello (5%).
