Austrian wine is seeing a surge in popularity, and the spicy native Grüner Veltliner tipped by some wine experts to be the next Pinot Grigio.  Vines have been cultivated in Austria for thousands of years,  most being consumed on the home market.  However an explosian of quality in recent years has seen a growing international following and appreciation.  The  Austrian wine motto is "Quality without compromise",  you can enjoy light-bodied whites to rich opulentwhites wines, as well as charming,fruity, full bodied pinot noirs .  Austria also produces outstanding sweet wines.
