The proximity of the Cérons appellation to the river Garonne is the reason why such high quality sweet whites are made here. A Semillon based sweet wine that exhibits a nose of ripe apricots and honey with a rich palate and racy, palate cleansing acidity.

Description

The proximity of the Cérons appellation to the river Garonne is the reason why high quality sweet whites are made here.  The early morning autumn mist that rolls in from the river creates botrytis on the grapes, and it is this ‘noble rot’ that leads to the concentration of sugars and flavour characteristics which makes the wines so appealing and luxorious.

The grapes are hand harvested and the pickers will often walk through the vines three or four times over several of weeks, selecting only the grapes that show signs of good concentration

A Semillon based sweet wine that exhibits a nose of ripe apricots and honey with a rich palate and racy, palate cleansing acidity.

Food Matching

Idea with rich desserts and strong blue cheese.
