80% Syrah, 20% Grenache.

A wine of tamed power… Grapes are picked at optimal ripeness and are selected one by one. The wine is matured for twelve months in French oak barrels (80 % new, 20 % one year old) for which fine grain wood is selected to develop length and elegance.Apogée is a tale of love between a man and his land... Colour dark red–black, intense and deep.Nose powerful, developing aromas of ripe red and black fruit (bilberries, blackberries) and scents of torrefaction, of cocoa beans, black olives (‘tapenade’), spices and a hint of cherries. Mouth well structured, long and wonderfully soft; ripe fruit aromas lead to a long finish.

Enjoy this wine amongst connoisseurs, principally with grilled meats – it will be exceptionally good with a slice of Aubrac steak grilled on a wood fire, duck with tapenade (olive and anchovy paste) or lamb with scrubland dry herbs...
