Description

In 1951, Louis Felix Picard acquired 2 hectares of vines in Chagny area, few kilometers from Chassagne-Montrachet and from his childhood, his son Michel Picard, was introduced to all aspects of wine. In 1970, Michel Picard took over the business and began to expand it. Today his daughter Francine manages the winery and firmly believes that efforts in the vineyards lay the foundation for the making of great wine.

Clos Paradis is one of the family’s négociant wines with the grapes coming from one of Domaine Voarick best Premier Cru Vineyards. The wine was part fermented in oak and further aged in French oak barrels for 12 months. Regular stirring of the lees (yeast sediment) has enhanced its flavour complexity.
