This Marques de Caceres Excellens Sauvingon Blanc is vibrant with notes of tropical fruit, citrus and melon. From Rueda, the wines displays refreshing acidity but with more body than Sauvignon Blanc from cooler climes.
Background
Rueda is one of Spain’s leading wine regions, the climate is more continental than Rioja with Atlantic maritime influences making tropical fruits more apparent on the nose and palate. The climate is continental with average temperatures of 13°C and an average annual rainfall of 460mm. The Sauvignon Blanc grapes are collected during the night when temperatures are cooler, to keep intact and strengthen their attributes.

Great with shellfish such as mussels and clams and white meats like chicken in a white sauce.
