Bodegas Muga is a family business founded by Isaac Muga and Aurora Caño in 1932, which is located in the historic Barrio de La Estación (Station Quarter) of Haro. With an area of around 25,000 square metres, it is home to both the most traditional winemaking methods and the latest cutting-edge techniques.
This rioja rose is made with hand-harvested garnacha, viura and tempranillo grapes, grow in Najerilla. They are then gently macerated for 5 hours in the press and then left to ferment at a controlled temperature of 16-18ºc for 15-20 days. This preserves the aromatic complexity and intensity of the grapes from which the wine is made. Once fermentation is complete, it remains with its fine lees in suspension for 12 weeks in order to heighten the smooth mouth-feel. Before bottling it undergoes cold stabilisation.
