We are pleased to offer the Online WSET Level 2 Award in Wines qualification on: Sundays July 25th, August 8th and 15th, 2021 which will be conducted via the Zoom platform. The exam will be on Sunday August 22nd via remote invigilation at 4:00pm (from home). In addition, we can offer a physical exam (date to be determined) in the Cardiff/Swansea areas. This date will be subject to change.
The price is £396.00 per person which is inclusive (includes Study Pack, 39 wine samples in 50ml bottles delivered to a UK mainland address (excluding Highlands and Islands), tuition, sample exam questions, highlighter and Remote Invigilation exam however food samples are required in addition. The wines and Study Pack will be posted out before the start of the course. Addresses outside the UK mainland will incur an extra courier charge (please check with us beforehand for cost).
1.Saturday July 24th, 2021 – Brief Introduction Zoom call at 4:00pm
2.Sunday July 25th, 2021 – 10:00am-5:30pm
3.Sunday August 8th, 2021 – 10:00am-5:00pm
4.Sunday August 15th, 2021 – 10:00am – 5:00pm
5.Sunday August 22nd, 2021 Exam – 4:00pm (please allow 45 minutes to 1 hour of room set-up and administration)
1.Please see the “Candidate Information Checklist – Remote Invigilation” document for details and requirements (technology requirements: we recommend that you use a laptop or desktop device and have a reliable internet connection and to sit your examination online you will also need one additional smart device such as a smartphone or tablet).
2.You will need 6 wine glasses, water to drink, a spittoon, pen and paper. Food samples will also be required (details will be emailed after signing up).
3.You will need to have access to the Zoom platform and this will be tested beforehand (see above date) with a brief Zoom call. There will be plenty of opportunities to ask questions and interact on Zoom.

Prior to the course starting date, you will receive and have access to:
I)WSET Level 2 Award in Wines Study Pack
II)39 different wines (50ml) to sample together during the course
III)Dedicated WSET Certified Educator to provide the course on the dates with a tasting of 39 wines (using the WSET systematic approach to tasting), an interactive wine & food pairing demonstration, sample exam questions and feedback
IV)Upon passing the exam, candidates will receive the WSET Level 2 Award in Wines Certificate and lapel pin
V)The WSET Level 2 Award in Wines specification: WSET’s Level 2 Award in Wines is a beginner- to intermediate-level qualification exploring wines, suitable for industry professionals and wine enthusiasts.
FWD ONLINE WSET Level 2 Award in Wines Policies
i)Is responsible for the facilities and technology (re: remote invigilation exam)
ii)Will accept liability if something goes wrong during exam (poor internet connection, fire alarm etc.)
iii)Will follow up with APP (Fine Wines Direct) after exam
iv)Will follow up with APP after results are issued if they have any problems
2.The ”Candidate Information – Remote Invigilation” document is available before signing up for a Remote Invigilation exam
3.Special considerations and/or reasonable adjustments must be communicated 5 weeks before the start of the qualification
