The variety is a reference and a perfect example of the actual debate between warm and cool climate. The mouth is a true mirror of the aromatic fan, but still very young nowadays and will ask more time to fully express itself. However, the balance is already well present trough a rich, dense and juicy texture, armed by a deep and precise frame of small fine tannins giving depth and strength.

Grenache, Mataro and Shiraz are three of the great red grape varieties that are cornerstone to the Barossa's red winemaking pedigree. A traditional style using classic Barossa grape varieties, we looked for structure and integration of flavours.
Colour: Opaque crimson red with red-brick hues
Aroma: Lifted red fruit aromatics with a hint of sweet spice andcherry pastilles
Palate: Rich and densely flavoured with bright, expressive redfruit notes and wisps of toasted vanilla. Fine tanninsgive way to a persistent, moreish finish. Wellbalanced, juicy style of Shiraz.
Food Match: Roasted longhorn sirloin with potato dauphinois andsteamed greens.
A blend of Tempranillo, Garnacha and Graciano the wine has spent 12 months ageing in 100% french oak barrels.
An Intense red colour with tawny hues.
Its aroma is intense, elegant with ripe fruit and undergrowth scents. You can find aromas of spices, cream and vanilla from the oak barrel ageing.
Its taste is elegant, mellow, fresh and ripe with velvety tannins.
Dense, dark ruby colour. Refined and complex bouquet with a hint of cherry, vanilla and soft toasted notes. Balanced in the mouth where silky, well-defined tannins combine with luscious flavours to reveal a pleasant fullness. This Reserva follows firmly in the footsteps of the previous 2012 vintage that won excellent awards.
The wine has spent 18 months in American oak barrels and 6 months in the bottle before release. Intense aromas on the nose coupled with spicy notes from the ageing process in American oak. Smooth in the mouth, with well integrated acidity, highlights of redcurrant, liquorish, and vanilla with smoky notes. Long, complex aftertaste.

In Mapuche language, Malma means "pride". Malma wines are produced from manually harvested grapes from selected vineyards, and aged for 9 months in French and American oak. This adds a layer of complexity whilst the fresh fruitiness of the wines is mainteined and their unique Patagonia personality preserved.
A strongly perfumed Pinot style evocative of black cherries with hints of violets and even a touch of ginger spice. The finish combines fine tannins and firm acidity but the overall impression is of the soft lingering flavours making this a very easy drinking style.

Hochar Père et Fils Red has often been described as the ‘second’ wine of Chateau Musar, as it does bear some resemblance to the ‘Grand Vin’ but the comparison stops there.
Rich, spicy and aromatic, this robust red hails from a single Bekaa Valley vineyard planted with Cinsault, Cabernet Sauvignon, Carignan and Grenache over 40 years ago. Five years in the making, with 9 months in French oak barrels, it’s full of smooth bramble fruit flavours, with hints of figs, dates and cedary spice.
A blend of Tempranillo and Garnacha. The wine has spent 12 months in 50% French and 50% American oak barrels.
A tawny colour in appearance of medium intensity.
Its aroma stands out for its red fruits, prune and licorice scents wrapped in pastry, black pepper and vanilla hints from the oak barrel.
On the palate its round, with pleasant structure, balanced acidity and elegant tannins giving fruit in liqueur hints in the aftertaste.
