In their youth, Chateau Musar Reds are dense and richly-textured, with intense ‘baked fruit’ characters: plums, damsons, cranberries, cherries, figs and dates. Bordeaux grape Cabernet Sauvignon lends black fruit flavours; Rhône grapes Cinsault and Carignan contribute fragrance (violets; pepper) and supple spiciness. Either set of qualities might dominate a particular vintage, but the style is always emphatically Lebanese: enticingly aromatic, with persistent fruit flavours. Over decades the wines acquire tawny hues and mellow notes.
Luxurious, mushroom farmyard nose, delicate berries and soft bubbles on palate, layered, some mushroom on the back palate, subtle balance of strawberries and texture on the finish. Pinot Noir and Chardonnay blend.
Fine mineral aromas with stone fruit notes. On the palate there is a depth of flavour expected of a grand cru, supported by decent acidity and a mineral core. Very long finish. This is Chablis at its purest...sublime.
Delicate nose of wildflowers, honey and lemon zest. Deliciously mouth-filling, crisp, lemon and cox’s apple, with perfect poise and balance. Zero Dosage. Certified Organic. 100% Pinot Noir.
A brilliant golden yellow colour in the glass. A fine and delicate nose, with aromas of honey, dried fruit and vanilla from the oak. On the palate there are wonderfully ripe orchard fruits and a firm minerality.
Citrus, vanilla and hazelnut aromas on the nose. On the palate this wine is exceptionally well balanced. There are slightly exotic fruit notes intermingled with classic orchard fruit. Well integrated oak and a fine, persistent finish.
