A powerful wine with passion fruit, citrus and herbs on the nose. Maturation in old French oak barrels and regular battonage creates complexity and creaminess balanced with typical Marlborough acidity.
Floral and lemon aromas with subtle underlying tropical notes, follow seamlessly through to the palate. Beautifully balanced with mouth-watering acidity resulting in a truly fruity wine with a long lingering finish.
Riesling is a preferred accompaniment to a wide range of foods. This wine is especially enjoyable with savoury and spicy dishes, with cheese or simply on its own. Best served lightly chilled, Allan Scott Riesling is guaranteed to improve for many years if carefully cellared.
The colour hits us first, a vibrant rose gold colour that gives away the skin contact factor of our Pinot Gris. Pinot Gris is a variety that can have both white and red grapes in a bunch, giving our wine some skin contact makes the brilliant colour. Fortunately, this also helps with aromas and delivers lifted honeysuckle, dew drop melons and a light vanilla marshmallow, like a summer stone fruit cocktail from the pool bar in most Fiji resorts. Delicate ripe peach flavours and a hint of Nashi develop on the palate and the zingy spice like Auntie May’s sweet fruit cobbler adds a mouthfeel and weight to balance it all out leaving your mouth just salivating enough to want more.
Aromas of butterscotch and pecan crumble over white flesh nectarines and the freshness of a pineapple Fruju down by the Wairau River in the summertime. Add in the smokey overtones and a creaminess that layers over the lingering pineapple backed up by the heirloom grapefruit fresh from the backyard. These characters all combine their unique acid profiles that blend to give this Marlborough Chardonnay its unique fruit forward freshness, yet still, speak to its classical French inspiration.
Definitely one we would share with anything from grilled crispy skin salmon, wood roasted rotisserie chicken or even a slow cooked BBQ rolled pork roast.
The Allan Scott Méthode Traditionnelle has built itself a highly deserved reputation since our first wine was made back in 1996.
A white gold colour, this Blanc de Blancs has a fine mousse with distinctive lemon flavours and a light touch of tropical fruit, developing delightful honeycomb autolysis characteristics. Seductive on the palate, the seamless integration between the fruit concentration and the acidity makes for a mouthwatering finish with good length.
Cecilia Vintage Méthode Traditionnelle can be enjoyed on almost every occasion, whether for a celebration, as an aperitif to a meal or simply to enjoy with friends. Best served chilled.
