100% old vine Tempranillo from a perfectly ripe and not overly hot vintage this underwent malolactic fermentation and subsequent aging for 2 years in American oak. As with all wines from Alejandro, the wine is unfined and unfiltered. Deeply robed, densely fruity and richly and richly tannic with floral cedar spice and a powerful, rounded finish.
A soft golden colour in the glass. The taste is sumptuous with rich flavours of ripe apricot, brioche, honeycomb, crème brûlée and soft white flower notes found both in the nose and on the palate.
Ready to drink now although it will continue to evolve in the bottle.
Perfect with Iberian ham and foie gras.
The wine is aged 24 months in fine grain, 225-and 300-litre neutral American oak barrels with a light-to-medium toast.
