The variety is a reference and a perfect example of the actual debate between warm and cool climate. However, the balance is already well present trough a rich, dense and juicy texture, armed by a deep and precise frame of small fine tannins giving depth and strength.
The peace and tranquillity of the cool climate Eden Valley is ideally suited to yielding the clean, pure flavours of Riesling.Minimal intervention enables the true characteristics of each vintage and the vines to speak for itself.
When the aromas of chocolate self-saucing pudding and local Marlborough black cherries hit the nose – you’ll be taken back to when your Grandma used to bake the delicious pudding for dessert when you were young. The palate gives the impression of black Doris plum jam with a toasty oak texture, the drying of the tannins mixes wonderfully with finely balanced spices and fresh acidity you get in a quality homemade jam.
