At Fine Wines Direct UK, we believe wine education should support both professional development and personal enjoyment.

For hospitality teams, WSET training helps build stronger wine programmes, more confident service, and better guest experiences. From restaurants and bars to hotels and retail teams, wine knowledge directly improves communication, upselling, and customer confidence.

At the same time, these courses are not just for people already working in wine. We also welcome enthusiasts and beginners who simply want to understand wine in a clear, relaxed, and accessible way.

Meet Your Educator — Emilio Dos Santos

Emilio began his wine journey over 12 years ago while working in hospitality, completing his WSET Level 1 qualification during his time in the hotel industry. Since then, his passion for wine education has continued to grow, leading him to teach WSET Levels 1 and 2 Award in Wines at Fine Wines Direct UK, while preparing to begin the WSET Diploma.

With a background rooted in hospitality, Emilio understands the importance of making wine approachable, practical, and enjoyable.

Believing that wine should be accessible to everyone — not just those already working in the trade — Emilio’s courses combine structured learning with interactive tasting and open discussion. His goal is simple: to help people feel more confident understanding, tasting, and talking about wine.
