The winemaking tradition of the Carrau family begins in the famous region of Catalonia, Spain in 1752. Established in Uruguay since 1930, the Carrau family is a pioneer in the development of quality wines where they are renowned for red wine made by the grape varietal Tannat. However, their white wines are also starting to gain recognition such as the Petit Manseng, made from exceptionally ripe grapes from the Montevideo region.
