Tasting Note
”MEG is to us a symbol of elegance and the search of the ideal balance. This is possible due to the poise between its aromas and flavors. This expression is reached by combining the freshness of Malbec and the structure of Cabernet Sauvignon.” -Matías Ciciani, Winemaker. Escorihuela Gascón.

Full bottle 1,643 g. 60% Malbec from the El Cepillo Vineyard, Uco Valley; 40% Cabernet Sauvignon from vineyards in San José, Tupungato. Aged in French oak casks, 80% new and 20% used.
NHB! Offensively heavy bottle, alas. Powerful aromas, pouring out the glass as it’s poured. Black, black fruit; polished church pews; old mahogany; molasses. A deep midnight florality at its byzantium-purple heart. Very elegant fruit – powerful, intense, but not remotely jammy or overripe. A touch of cool napeta-leaf herbaceousness giving lift. The tannins are also powerful but controlled, furbished to a quiet gleam, ripe and in their proper place. (TC)
