“Clo” is a fantastic white wine produced in the Setubal Peninsula South of Lisbon Portugal produced by Adega Camolas. Intense aromas of white flowers, peaches, Turkish delight and ripe citrus. Medium body with a pronounced acidity that balances the intense flavours and aromas of that wine. Long fresh clean finish.
Background
The “Adega Camolas” is a family business, adjacent to the Arrábida Natural Park located on the Setubal Peninsula, south of Lisbon, and have been producing wines since the 70’s. The brand “Camolas” finds its origin using the founder’s family name, one of the most emblematic in the Setubal region region. The production of this wine is the result of white local grapes Moscatel Graúdo and Fernão Pires harvested from eight plots of their best vineyard as well as the grapes from small partners winegrowers based around Adega Camolas. The grapes are hand harvested in the early morning to preserve freshness and are vinified solely in stainless steel vats to retain the purity of fruit. a fantastic white wine that will please New world Sauvignon Blanc and Chenin Blanc enthusiasts.
