A juicy red in the palate with sharp fruit flavours. Dry, rich and fresh approach. Flows wide with velvety texture and good balance. Round and sweet tannins with nice long finish. Fruity aftertaste bound to please palates that appreciate intense and expressive wines.

From their Agrelo vineyard. 950 m asl. 12 months in barrel. Apparently very popular in the US. Smells like burnt plum pie, burnt molasses, even a touch of slurry. Real full-on alpha Malbec. Compact, masses of concentration, umeboshi plum. Dark dried fruit, prunes, mocha, balsamic flavours. Fines Wines Direct sales director Bastien Martinole says tomato leaves, and I agree. The tannins have been gym buffed and oiled to a slick sheen. The acidity is good – pulls the length through the core pipe of the wine.
