Pommery
Champagne Pommery is a Champagne house located in Reims. The house was founded as Pommery & Greno in 1858 by Alexandre Louis Pommery and Narcisse Greno with the primary business being wool trading. Under the guidance of Alexandre’s widow, Louise Pommery, the firm was dedicated to Champagne production and soon became one of the region’s largest Champagne brands. Champagne Pommery was the first house to commercialize a brut Champagne in 1874.
The Brut Rose Royal is a fine and fruity champagne with a pretty blush pink colour and scented nose of sweet strawberries. The palate is succulent and juicy, mouthwatering, with a delicious redcurrant, raspberry and lemon citrus zing. The texture is smooth with persistent bubbles. This bottling is stored in the cellar for three years to develop its distinctive properties of balance, precision and elegance. Perfect as an aperitif.
To the eye: Delicate pale pink with slightly salmon tones. Fine and persistent bubbles.
On the nose: Small red berries suggesting roundness and softness enhanced by a fine freshness in a world of distinction.
On the palate: Very subtle rose character: supple and finely robust with and appealing freshness and liveliness.
