Since Armand Salmon’s great grandfather’s time, in the early 20th century, the family has owned excellent terroir dedicated to the Sauvignon Blanc. The gently sloping, south-facing, three hectare Clos des Criots vineyard is one of Pouilly’s finest.
In the winery, a modern pneumatic press slowly extracts the juice in the gentlest possible way, while cool fermentation preserves every ounce of freshness. Domaine Salmon’s motto is “Passion, tradition, authenticity” – the very forces that elevate great individually crafted wines like this to way beyond everyday quality.
Straw yellow with golden highlights. An intense, floral nose of broom and acacia. A mineral note with a hint of smoke brings out all of the substance of this exceptional terroir. Notes of citrus are revealed on the palate with grapefruit on the finish, adding a touch of freshness.
