Whispering Angel has been the talk of Provence, if not the wine world at large, for some time now. This tantalizing blend of Grenache, Rolle, Cinsault, Syrah and Mourvedre is one of the most exciting Cuvees from Cotes de Provence to grace the shelves of wine shops in a long time. A supremely drinkable rose that will have you pouring ‘just one more glass’ for yourself and your friends.
‘Very pure, round and flavourful supported by beautiful acidity adding body and volume. There is a fine and elegant aromatic framework enhancing length. Beautiful, sharp structure’ – Winemakers Note
Very pale apricot pink color. Delicate aromas of sliced apple, pink grapefruit, peach, cream and stones follow through to a medium body and crisp acidity. Deliciously creamy and smooth. Drink and enjoy. JamesSuckling.Com 92pts
I have just tasted the very first bottle of 2020 Whispering Angel Rosé and it is sensational. The haunting, cantaloupe tinged aroma, silky texture and bracingly dry finish mark this as a stunningly balanced vintage. Chapeau! Matthew Jukes
Pale peach in colour, this 2020 wine very youthful with some pear drop character that will subside, a little cherry note and soft red berry fruits. On the palate Whispering Angel’s trademark combination of elegant, cool precision with very easy-going, open and attractive fruitiness. Nicely textured, the raspberry fruit and edge of acidity is ripe but bone dry, and there’s a hint of stony minerality adding to the sophistication of the finish. Tom Cannavan’s Wine-Pages.Com 90pts
