Roda tasting – A thoroughly modern Rioja

When a great opportunity arises you should grab it with both hands and the upcoming Rioja tasting featuring Bodegas Roda is such an event. This relatively newcomer – established in 1987 – continues to the push the boundaries around ‘new style’ Rioja wines.

There are just four in the range – all red – and all benefitting from precise attention to detail and very fruit forward in style.

Based around the Rioja staple variety tempranillo at their core, the wines show off their distinctive personalities, from the youthful Sela to the top wine Cirsion.

Accolades have come thick and fast and the wines have grown a fervent following among lovers of Spanish reds.
