The Sancerre region of the central Loire hosts a number of different soil types and the vine-clad slopes of Bué are listed among the very best. Domaine Christian Salmon soils are rich in limestone and oyster fossils lending a distinctive flinty-dry mineral character to the wines. The slopes’ southerly aspect ensures a balance of lovely ripe fruit flavours.
In the winery, a modern pneumatic press slowly extracts the juice in the gentlest possible way, while cool fermentation preserves every ounce of freshness. Domaine Salmon’s motto is “Passion, tradition, authenticity” – the very forces that elevate great individually crafted wines like this to way beyond everyday quality.

This sancerre rose boasts and elegant nose with aromas of redcurrants, wild strawberry, blackberry and raspberry, with a touch of acidity and freshness on the palate. A typical well-crafted Pinot Noir rosé.
