Hidalgo makes Alameda by blending the older and smoother Oloroso sherry with a cream sherry made from Pedro Ximenez.
This sherry is a voluptuous treat! Aromas of dried fruits such as figs and raisins intermingle with honey. The palate is decadent and smooth with a nutty after taste and a long, long finish.
This is a sherry that can be enjoyed as a perfect end to a meal, can be matched with dessert but works just as well on its own. Should be chilled but be careful not to over chill as you will lose some of those complex flavours and aromas.
